Sales ADministrator 

Sales – Full Time - Surrey, British Columbia

What you'll do 

  • Process quotes & sales orders through our CRM (Salesforce & Hubspot)
  • Take the lead on all incoming sales related phone calls
  • Maintain & expand our database of prospects
  • Assist with booking in-field events, vendor days & product demos
  • Ensure high level of communication with end users
  • Support marketing initiatives and corresponding action items
  • Troubleshoot common issues for end users
  • Outbound cold calls
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Improve sales & marketing processes
  • Develop SOP’s related to the role
  • Assist with other sales roles when requested & required

Senior design engineer

Research & Development - Full Time – Surrey, British Columbia

What you'll do 

As a Senior Design Engineer at Keirton, you will be responsible for a large portion of the product development cycle for new innovations in the cannabis space. You will develop concepts, design, prototype, test and prepare products for production.

  • Partake in full product life cycles including concept development to analysis, design, prototyping, design verification, documentation, continuous improvement, production assistance and troubleshooting.
  • Review designs and participate in research and development of new products.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate activities of production and suppliers – report on status.
  • Design for manufacturability and analyze existing designs to determine if more efficient designs can be created.
  • Perform analysis on designs such as FEA, CFD, material selection, concept tesing.
  • Design utilizing tools such as DFMA, DFMEA and QFD in accordance with ISO9001 procedures.   
  • Specify and approve required validation testing for new product designs as well as production line QA testing.  
  • Work in multidisciplinary product development teams including supply chain management, production, manufacturing, quality engineering and project management.
  • Create design documentation for new products such as drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Manage BOM’s for production assemblies.
  • Deliver additional project assignments and duties as required.

Who you are 

  • Minimum 10 years experience in mechanical products design, industrial grade machine design and or Electro-Mechanical design.
  • University degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • Machining and experience in high precision manufacturing environments considered an asset.
  • P.Eng registration with APEGBC or eligibility to enroll is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record in product development.
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks, projects, and assignments and ensure completion on time.
  • Proficient with Solidworks and PDM Vault.
  • Familiar with precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, TIG welding and material selection.
  • Ability to produce robust and reliable designs.
  • Familiarity with code and safety regulations (CSA, UL, ISO).
  • Ability to apply standards such as ASTM, ISO, SAE, ISO9001.
  • Knowledge and experience using GD&T, tolerancing for cost effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
  • Understanding of PPAP and supplier validation processes.  
  • Ability to make independent decisions, work independently and as part of a strong team.   
  • Familiarity with rotating machinery and its design, mechanism design, motor selection and control, electrical safety and user safety systems.
  • Strong proficiency in material selection for production environments.
  • Experience with metal coating processes such as powder coating, anodizing and plating.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal English communications.
  • Understanding of electronic instrumentation and DAQ for design test purposes.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as MasterCam an asset.

Research & Development - Full Time – Surrey, British Columbia

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

As a Mechanical Designer you’ll help us see projects from start to finish in the design and development of specialized agricultural machinery. You essentially will take big-picture theories and design them down to finished, highly-detailed drawings.

You're a self-starter, pick things up quickly, keep things organized, pay attention to detail, work independently and value good two-way communication. But above all you have a stellar attitude and are ready to laugh with us.

  • Partake in full product life cycles including concept development to analysis, design, prototyping, design verification, documentation, continuous improvement, production assistance and troubleshooting.

  • Top-notch organization skills
  • Fluent in English

accounts receivable specialist

Finance - Full Time – Surrey, British Columbia

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will hold a key role to keeping our office’s financials in tip-top shape. You’ll be working closely with our Controller and internal sales team. We expect you to know the accounting fundamentals in and out and be genuinely excited about debits and credits.

  •  Create and distribute customer invoices
  • Post journal entries to record inventory movement and sales
  • Receive, post and match customer payments
  • Reconcile online credit card payments
  • Receive and record wire payments
  • Manage customer receivables, including reminders and collections
  • Distribute monthly customer account statements
  • Handle all customer credit management
  • Manage petty cash and reconcile on a monthly basis
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Perform journal entries adjustments
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Assist with various other accounting projects as assigned

WHO YOU ARE 

  • 3-5 years experience in an Accounts Receivable and/or Accounting Administrative position
  • Diploma/certificate/degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Sales Taxes
  • Love computers, software, and calculators
  • Have an equal amount of love for Excel – intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong English verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Show us you have some impressive time management and organization skills
  • Have a delightful approach to client experience
  • Be comfortable calling customers who are late with payments
